About Me

My name is Laura Stearns

I am a trauma-informed, neurodivergent-informed life coach with over five years of coaching experience, specializing in supporting individuals who are neurodivergent or navigating seasons of change. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults who are rebuilding their sense of self after a diagnosis, a major transition, or a prolonged season of survival—and who are ready to move toward clarity, confidence, and sustainable growth.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Human Services Counseling with a concentration in Life Coaching, along with a post-graduate certificate in Business Leadership Communication. My coaching approach is client-centered and strengths-based, grounded in safety, self-compassion, and practical tools that support real-life progress—not pressure or perfection.

In addition to my professional training, I am a homeschool mom of over 14 years, walking closely alongside children and adolescents with diverse learning styles, needs, and strengths. This lived experience deeply informs my work, especially when supporting neurodivergent students, families making educational decisions, and young people preparing for adulthood in nontraditional ways.

I am also a Step Up for Students Direct Provider in Florida and work with Unique Abilities (UA) scholarship students, offering coaching focused on career exploration, self-advocacy, life skills, and employability readiness. I also provide coaching services to self-pay clients worldwide, supporting individuals across many stages and seasons of life.

My Coaching Roots

My personal journey with life coaching began over a decade ago, when I worked virtually with a life coach in Spain—long before online sessions were common. That experience helped me uncover my strengths, find clarity during a difficult season, and create a path forward toward my education and professional work. While my practice today is grounded in training, experience, and specialization, that early experience continues to shape my belief in the power of supportive, intentional guidance.

Beyond my professional work, I am a lifelong learner, reader, and nature-lover. I value meaningful conversations, time with my family and pets, and moments of quiet reflection. I volunteer with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and lead a virtual book study that brings women together across states and time zones to share stories, faith, and encouragement.

At the Heart of My Work

HELPING PEOPLE WITH VISION MOVE FORWARD

I have the privilege of walking alongside people in seasons of growth and change. Every coaching session is centered on the client—their story, their pace, and what feels most important to them in that moment. I bring tools, guidance, and a listening ear, and together we explore what works best for them and where they want to grow.

Through thoughtful conversation, reflection, and collaborative brainstorming, we uncover new possibilities and practical pathways forward. I love helping clients set meaningful, attainable goals—and then celebrating each victory along the way, no matter how small. Growth doesn’t have to be rushed to be real.

When challenges arise, we work gently and intentionally by exploring thinking patterns, practicing mindset shifts, and building healthier ways of responding to life’s stressors. The focus is not on fixing what’s “wrong,” but on strengthening what’s already there and creating support for what’s next.

MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS:
Alongside my life coaching work, I also support mental health professionals who are preparing to launch or grow their own practices. I offer administrative consulting and business coaching for counselors who want systems that feel aligned, sustainable, and supportive of both their clients and their own wellbeing.
